We invite you to explore our featured projects below.

  • To monitor the Wolastoq River’s health without violating Indigenous values, SOAR built a first-of-its-kind non-lethal research instrument for in-situ mollusc study. This project braids Indigenous Knowledge with engineering to track contaminants while keeping molluscs safe and alive for future generations.

  • SOAR is braiding Wolastoqiyik/Wǝlastǝkwiyik stories and wisdom with technical data to support new nuclear developments. This approach treats Indigenous Knowledge as equal to Western science to ensure that future projects are rooted in holistic understanding of the land.

  • SOAR led a province-wide consultation for a new Indigenous Procurement Strategy, directly empowering Indigenous businesses. This project provided 12 actionable recommendations to help remove historical barriers to provincial contracts, and foster local economic growth and sustainable capacity in Indigenous communities.

  • Following a historic settlement, SOAR partnered with Bilijk Wolastoqey to transform funding into lasting community wellness, language, culture and heritage. Through an inclusive engagement process, SOAR developed an Action Plan focused on two critical priorities – food security and cultural learning through a trail system.

  • Majority-owned by the Wolastoqey Nation, this renewable energy project is expected to power the equivalent of 43,000 New Brunswick homes. SOAR is braiding ancestral wisdom into the environmental review process, ensuring this project respects the land and provides a stable, long-term revenue stream.

  • SOAR is serving as Owner’s Engineer for CFS capital projects, turning federal funding into vital community infrastructure. By braiding technical oversight with Indigenous knowledge, we’re helping build healing houses and centres that ensure children and families receive equitable, culturally appropriate care in their own communities.
